BlastOff: A Month in Review! - August 2024

As we reach September, we can look back and consider August as one of our most exciting months in terms of development. As we continue to strive towards our goal of being the premier launchpad in the Blast space, this last month marks the point at which we expanded our horizons.

While we may have seen a couple of areas of pause for breath as we continue on our journey, we've made some decisions and changes this month that represent a significant step toward reaching our goals. These decisions were not made lightly, but after careful consideration and analysis, we are confident in the direction we are heading. Let's take a look.

BlastOff Goes Multi-Chain

Let's start things off with the big one! As detailed in our article here, we've entered the multi-chain landscape, offering IDO and launchpad support across multiple networks in the blockchain space.

Let's be clear here; we were born on Blast because of Blast and will continue to live and grow on Blast. This decision, made after much deliberation, reaffirms our commitment to the Blast project and the wider web3 community. We believe that with the innovations Blast has brought to the space, we owe it to ourselves and the community to make these accessible to everyone.

Therefore, after much deliberation, it has been decided that while our launchpad and raising model will still be Blast-based, we have opened up the benefits of Blast to projects that would like to launch on other chains or even multi-chain.

BlastOff Tier System & VIP Club Update

Last month, we introduced the BlastOff VIP Club, providing a host of exclusive benefits to our higher $OFF holders. These include direct access to the team, early updates on upcoming IDOs, governance rights and much more.

While all of the above benefits remain the same, the access threshold has been lowered, granting access to these exciting benefits to a wider portion of our audience.

In line with our reworked tier system, VIP access is now open to Tier 4 holders and above, meaning all those with 5,000 OFF or more can join the VIP Club. If you fit the bill and still need to join, waste no more time and fill in the form here!

IDO Plans

As has long been planned in order to maximise the benefits of Blast's native-yield innovation, you will eventually see YIDOs - yield-based IDOs – on BlastOff, meaning an investor will be able to participate in a project launch using purely yield generated on the Blast network. A virtually risk-free IDO investment.

As outlined in our recent update here, this goal, while still firmly in our crosshairs, is a little way off. It will be much more achievable once we have optimised and relaunched our Future Yield Minter Vault, our 'yield time machine' if you like. This vault enables users to generate instant yield through staking and locking assets and generating fy or 'future yield' assets.

Until this time arrives, we will hold IDOs in either ETH or USDB. When the time is right, we will integrate fyETH and fyUSDB investment, respectively, but not together (IDOs in USDB and fy USDB, or ETH and fyETH).

What's Coming

If all goes well, IDOs!

Following on from the recent news of our first potential IDO, and if you're in the VIP Club, a couple more that we are in advanced talks with, we have a pipeline of promising projects all lining up nicely to launch their token with us here at BlastOff.

You'll be pleased to know that the current crop of candidates is all either Blast-native or multi-chain, including Blast. In line with our multi-chain expansion, we are actively exploring ecosystems for promising projects looking to launch their tokens and opening discussions to launch with us.

IDO Platform Live!

Following rigorous testing, audits, and bug fixes, our IDO platform, YPad, is almost ready to go live and should be accessible to the public in the coming weeks. As you can imagine, it's been a rollercoaster for our development team, given the recent changes regarding going multi-chain, IDOs vs. YIDOs, etc. Still, they've adapted well, and things are on track to be delivered soon.
