BlastOff Development: What’s Been Happening?

Recently, we reviewed some of the huge milestones in our project: the launch of our token, the $OFF staking platform going live, our native bridge, and a host of marketing initiatives. In addition, the news of the $BLAST airdrop and move to Phase Two has taken the limelight in recent weeks.

While all of these achievements were easy enough to reel off, they required a lot of work behind the scenes, especially the development work that made them possible.

So today, we’re going to review what has been happening on the development front, what’s coming soon, and take some time just to appreciate all the work that gets done in the background.

Team Upgrade

The underlying technology is the foundation of everything Web3. Without the innovation and incredible work on blockchains, we’d be no closer to this new decentralised world we’re all moving towards.

We say this to highlight the significance of having a team of experts when building projects in this space. There’s huge importance placed on the technical side to have projects run smoothly, as well as being safe.

Take nothing away from the original BlastOff crew. Had it not been for the skills and expertise already in place here at BlastOff HQ, we would never have earned the accolade of Blast Big Bang runner-up earlier this year. In the last month or two, it has become clear that, while we have been on a very good path toward our ultimate goal, additional tech expertise would be needed due to the endless opportunities that seem to continuously unfold the further we go down the Blast technological wormhole. 

Ecosystem delays and market volatility have actually been a blessing in disguise. They have given us a larger window to accelerate development and put us in the strongest position possible for upcoming IDOs.

IDO Impact

When the new developers joined the team, they quickly noticed a few opportunities to optimise and improve not only our existing code base but also a number of innovative additions to improve our performance and our feature offerings. 

The good news is that thanks to our brilliant development team, we’re 98% of the way there! We’re just putting the final touches on the code, and a pipeline of potential IDOs is set to begin towards the end of July!

Additional Features

Not only were the new developers instrumental in improving and adding to the existing code base, but they were also a driving force behind all of our recent achievements, working tirelessly to get the staking platform up and running and the bridge active.

In addition, we’ve also been able to refresh our website with visual changes and new features, such as the claim portal and the blog page. This is incredible, given that they’ve been consistently working on the more complicated aspects of the platform and the short time they’ve been here!

The impact they’ve made at BlastOff since coming aboard has made us both massively optimistic and excited for the future. We strongly believe that with the team we now have, we have a fantastic runway ahead of us to position BlastOff as not only one of the top dApps on the Blast network, but also launchpads in the space!

So What’s Next?

As mentioned previously, the developers have been incredibly busy optimising, upgrading, and reauditing the whole codebase before we could go live with IDOs, but the time is almost here!

The audit report should be out in the next 7-10 days, and we have the utmost confidence that we will pass and be ready for IDOs by the end of this month, which is perfect as we have one planned…
